Reality

Reality is the world in between sleep cycles. Sure you're real when you sleep, but your dreams are not real. Just last night I dreamt that I was a freaking astronaut. Considering I know the difference from reality and fantasy, I woke up a little ticked off that I'M NOT REALLY AN ASTRONAUT.
There again reality can be tricky. Jim Morrison, who happens to be one of my favorite musicians of all time put it this way. He got their band name "The Doors," from a William Blake poem. "If the doors of perception were cleansed, then everything would appear to a man as it truly is, infinite." This means that there are things known and unknown, and in between these realities are the doors. The fine line between reality and make believe is held together by the doors of our lives. I like to think of life and death this way. One minute your alive, then unexpectedly you can be dead. Simple as opening up a door.
Maybe this definition is completely wrong, or maybe reality isn't what everyone imagines. Until we die, I guess we never really know if we're real or not. Reality check.
